About

Dock activity should be knowledge, not hearsay

The ships that feed our industries broadcast where they are every minute, yet what they carry and do at the dock stays surprisingly opaque. Docktraffic exists to close that gap.

Our mission

Turn public vessel signals into commodity-flow intelligence

Maritime logistics runs on relationships and rumours. We think it should run on facts. By reading the AIS signals ships already broadcast, Docktraffic reconstructs what happens at a dock: who called, whether they loaded or unloaded, and roughly how much of what material moved.

We started where the need is sharpest: cement and dry bulk. We built the platform to extend to any commercial dock as we grow.

Docktraffic is information, deliberately so. We don't run your business for you. The advantage comes from how you apply what you learn: in negotiations, in risk, in quality, in due diligence. We just make sure you're working from facts.

What makes us different

More than dots on a map

Derived, not just displayed

Plenty of tools show you a ship's position. Docktraffic infers the meaning: the visit, the operation, the tonnage and the material.

Built for bulk, first

We tuned everything, from vessel types to materials and operations, around cement and dry-bulk terminals, where this intelligence matters most.

Public data, private edge

Because it's built on public AIS, you can point it at any dock and turn open signals into an advantage that's yours alone.

How we build

Honest intelligence you can trust

Estimates are only useful if you know how much to trust them. That's why every cargo figure carries a confidence rating and every operation is backed by a signal you can trace.

  • Confidence ratings on every estimate
  • Per-day data coverage so gaps are visible
  • Signals you can inspect, not a black box
“Facts, not rumours.”It's our tagline because it's the whole point: replacing what people think is happening at a dock with what actually is.
